To deal with the pain of witnessing his wife's illness, Alfredo, a 70 year old man, has built a device that allows him to playback old Super 8 films on a visor, to relive the memories of when he and his wife were young. His desire to see Serena full of that energy she used to have when they met and fell in love, is as strong as his need to catch some breath from the pain he feels when he sees her now, laying on the bed with empty eyes. Slave of the device, he will move away from reality and from Serena, in the vain attempt to chase the pain away, lost inside a never ending vortex of days, spent in the warm embrace of the past. The bond of love that he shares with his wife will break this vicious circle and Alfredo will finally be at peace with the suffering he feels, knowing that his wife is still beside him.
