Mattia has long been in love with Marina, a girl from his high school who one day confesses to him that she wants to lose her virginity with him. Mattia spends his days with Marina reading comics, listening to music and experiencing his sexuality during the endless winter in a small seaside town in the Ligurian province. However, when she finds hundreds of photographs of seagulls in Mattia's camera, their relationship begins to change.
